Democratic Leadership Training Program for Moroccan NGO's

Objectives:

• Strengthen the advocacy skills of the participants and their
  NGOs influence policy at the local, regional, and national levels.
  

• Strengthen and build the capacity of NGOs in Morocco.
  Enable participants to have a better understanding of how to
  effectively utilize NGOs in their society.
  

Phase I
Heartland International staff will conduct a one week needs assessment
in Morocco (October 2002)
 
Phase II: Ten Moroccan NGO Representatives will take part in a three week Chicago based training program focusing on the program objectives (Date: TBA)
 
Phase III: Five NGO leaders will be take part in a month-long intensive seminar and internship focusing on the program objectives (Date: TBA)
