Connections Program
Heartland international is one of forty
organizations across the United States
conducting a Community Connections Program
for entrepreneurs, local government
officials, legal professionals and
nongovernmental organization leaders from
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia,
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova,
Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine
and Uzbekistan. A program of the
United States Agency for International
Development, the Community Connections
Program offers participants three- to
five-week practical training opportunities
for ten participants at a time.
Program Objectives

to day-to-day functioning of a free market
system;

partnerships in the NIS;
linkages between U.S. and NIS regions and
communities.
